About
The site:
This blog will contain a series of letters about the politics, values, and perspectives that will shape tomorrow’s Progressive movement. These letters will synthesize ideas from political science, psychology, sociology, journalism studies, communications. The goal is to present young Progressives with a picture of Who We Are, Where We’re Going, and Why It Matters.
Much of the Obama generation is in middle school, high school, or college. To communicate with an audience representing the full spectrum of political interest and knowledge, the letters will assume readers have only a weak understanding of politics. I hope to explain complex perspectives using simpler, more accessible language than one might find in academic journals.
I’ll conclude each of my letters with ways for interested readers to learn more. On top of that, I will continuously share interesting content on Twitter (@DearObamaGen).
